GLASSLINE

High Grade Jay found a level stretch of land with trees on every side and decided the old rules about wasteland houses did not suit him. He raised Glassline with white walls, dark framing, and broad greenhouse panels, making the forest part of every room instead of something to shut out.

Jay planned the house around a straight central hall. Sitting rooms branch from that line, a stone fire pit rests under glass, and a compact red kitchen gives the place a proper working heart. Even the odd little decorations look measured and set where they belong.

Some folks might call a place like this too fine for Appalachia, but Jay has built in the Commonwealth and knows good materials are worth saving. At night the red entry and violet lights hold every line clear against the woods. I reckon there is something sound in bringing order to a rough patch of ground and being thankful for the view the Lord left around it.
