Concrete and Rust is an honest name for what Bubble has raised around a power pylon in Burning Springs. Heavy concrete rooms sit beneath the rusty steel lattice, with platforms and machinery carried up through it. The older framework stays visible from the ground right to the top.

The doorways lead into compact rooms fitted with shelves and old equipment. Rounded machinery projects from the concrete, and one small corner holds a pod shaped chair beside a little screen. Those domestic details take some of the coldness out of the industrial shell.

Bubble is good at finding a building in something most of us would simply walk past. Here, he has worked with the pylon’s shape instead of trying to conceal it. I have always liked a job where a man can see what is holding the weight, and this camp gives him plenty to study.
