LAKESIDE CABINS

High Grade Jay set these cabins along a quiet lakeside cut into the West Virginia rocks. The buildings are made from heavy logs and broad glass, with warm lights shining through the dark and water running right up to the walkways. It feels like a place built to make the wilderness close without letting the wilderness take over.

The paths cross small pools and lead from cabin to cabin before opening onto a shared lodge. Inside, the rooms are simple and cared for, with timber walls, stone fireplaces, and a little Italian kitchen looking out toward the lake. Jay gave the camp the kind of order that makes a hard place feel settled.

I reckon Lakeside Cabins is the sort of home a person keeps because it brings quiet back into the day. The cliffs hold it in, the water reflects its lanterns, and every window gives the weary traveler one more good reason to stay awhile.
