ROAD RUNNER
I have seen folks turn scrap into shelter, but Rad Rux looked at a pile of engines, seats, and sheet metal and saw a road machine. He set Road Runner down in Cranberry Bog, where the red light makes every bit of rust and paint glow.
The front grille, exposed motor, wide tires, and tight little cab all fit together like they were meant to. It is rough around the edges, yet every part has a purpose, and the whole machine carries the look of something built by steady hands.
There may not be much open highway left, but Road Runner still stands ready. Around here, hope sometimes looks like a warm lamp, a working engine, and a seat pointed toward the next mile.
