BUILDER story – Player Georges
The wasteland is full of mysteries. Player Georges’ origins—and how he manages to build the strange camps he does—are among the most talked about. Renowned for his habit of handing out supplies to wandering travelers and lending a helping hand to anyone who might need it, he has become something of a legend among those who roam the broken roads. His camps appear in places where no one expects them: perched on cliffs, wedged into ruins, or suspended in ways that seem to ignore the basic rules of physics. Scrap metal, old boards, rusted pipes, and forgotten machines somehow come together under his hands into structures that look impossible, yet somehow stand firm against the wind and the years. People who stumble across these places often leave scratching their heads, wondering not only how he built them—but why.
Player Georges rarely offers answers. He appears quietly, helps where he can, trades a few supplies, and moves on before anyone can learn much about him. The locals tell stories about him around campfires—about the stranger who showed up just in time with food, water, or spare parts when things looked bleak. But the questions always linger: where did he come from, and how does he manage to do what he does?
The most popular rumor tries to answer both questions the same way. People say he came from somewhere far to the north. Exactly how far north is where the stories begin to drift. Some claim it’s simply the northern edge of the old country, beyond the frozen forests and abandoned cities. Others insist the truth is stranger—that Player Georges didn’t just come from the far north of the land, but from somewhere even farther… perhaps the far north of the planet itself. Whatever the truth may be, the man isn’t telling—and the wasteland seems perfectly content to keep that mystery alive.
