Bubble’s Twisty Tree Tower is a welcome patch of green in the Ash Heap. He has enclosed a tall tree in a stack of glass greenhouse rooms, letting the trunk run through the middle. From outside, the copper colored frames give it a shape that is hard to mistake.

Wooden steps wind around the tree, with plants filling the spaces where a plain building might have empty walls. The upper room has its own furnishings and workstations, and little planted balconies project from the glass. There is a surprising amount to look at without taking away from the tree itself.

I reckon Bubble wanted to put something looked after in a rough stretch of country. Glass will need cleaning and those plants will need tending, but there is good sense in making room for living things. That care is what stayed with me after I came down the steps.
