Camp Highwatch brought back a few good memories of scout outings before the war. Bubble has placed a stone lookout and glass rooms above a fine stretch of wooded country in the Savage Divide. It is a tidy spot to take in the view, provided a fellow minds the railing.

Down around the campfire, the tents, benches and little scout figures give the place a familiar feel. Inside, he has found room for work benches, magazines and a mounted deer. Pink flowers brighten the entrance without taking away from the sturdy stone and timber.

For a man with such unusual interests, Bubble can still put together something plainly welcoming. His patient eye shows in the way the camp furniture sits alongside the lookout rather than fighting it for space. I was glad to see a little of that old scout spirit given room in this new world.
