THE JUNKBOT
Rad Rux gathered old machines from every corner of Appalachia and fitted them together until a giant took shape in Cranberry Bog. The Junkbot wears its history in mismatched panels, exposed pipes, bright colors, and a broad metal face that looks more curious than cruel.
Up close, the careful merging becomes plain. Vents turn into cheeks, lamps become eyes, and salvaged housings form shoulders, hands, and heavy feet. The pieces came from different purposes, yet Rad Rux made them agree with one another.
I have learned not to call any honest material useless. The Junkbot stands as a fine example of that lesson, built from castoffs and given a character all its own by a man who could see more in the pile than rust.
