At Rusted Relic, Megs has gathered the sort of things plenty of folks would have walked past. Old crockery, rugs, furniture and a gramophone sit together in a little Forest shop with rooms for staying over. The weathered boards and shingled walls suit the collection inside.

The porch is as full of character as the rooms. Plants climb around the garden structure, lanterns hang from the timber and old pieces have been worked into the displays. Inside, a fireplace and comfortable furnishings keep it from feeling like a shed full of somebody else’s castoffs.

Megs has good reason to know that an object can hold more than its price. She’s carried reminders of her parents through much worse than a house move. I reckon that’s why this place feels cared for: she sees the years in these things and gives them a place to belong again.
