When High Grade Jay came across a quiet wooded rise, he saw room for something Appalachia had nearly forgotten: a proper place to rest. He raised the spa in dark brick, cedar boards, and broad panes of glass, then set a fire outside so weary travelers could find the door after sundown.

Inside, The Timberglass Spa is clean, warm, and orderly. A doctor tends to radiation sickness and whatever else folks carried in from the road, while the massage room and quiet lounges offer a little relief for sore backs. The high glass roof lets daylight reach deep into the building and keeps the rooms from feeling shut in.

I cannot promise the wasteland will leave a body alone for long, but a sound place to sit and mend can make a hard week manageable. Jay built this one with steady hands and practical kindness. Sometimes a bit of rest is the first step toward standing up straight again.
